Hug Sticker Custom began from the personal passion of Mr. Piyanan Thongsantrai for automotive customisation. He initially shared photos of his own vehicle wraps and graphics on social media without any business intention. However, the response exceeded expectations and eventually became the starting point of a serious business venture.

In the early days, Hug Sticker Custom operated without sophisticated equipment or production systems. Every step — from design, cutting, installation, to production — was done entirely by hand in a small rented garage space. The business grew through customer referrals and trust in the quality of the work.

Mr. Piyanan started the business at the age of 21 while still studying at university. Within just one year, the business had clearly demonstrated its potential to become a full-time career.

As Hug Design gained recognition, the business expanded from general sticker cutting into premium custom stickers for cars and motorcycles, particularly in the Big Bike segment. This became a significant turning point that helped establish a strong brand identity in the market.

Scaling a Premium Brand with Production Technology

The growth of a premium brand requires production technology capable of elevating handcrafted work into an international-quality standard. The HP Latex 830 W therefore became an important part of helping Hug Design maintain print quality, colour accuracy, and consistency across every job — even as production volumes continued to increase.

However, rapid growth also brought challenges in team management, health, and business operations. Hug Design needed to shift from being a founder-driven business into an organisation with systems and structures that could support sustainable growth. The HP Latex 830 W became one of the core technologies enabling stable production processes and long-term business expansion.

This period marked the beginning of implementing structured systems, learning business management, and reorganising operations to transform craftsmanship into a scalable, standardised production process capable of competing globally.

As Hug Design expanded into international markets, its make-to-order business model and online catalogue system made speed, colour consistency, and production continuity increasingly critical to business growth.

HP Latex was selected as the core solution to support growing production demand while maintaining consistent quality standards across every order. HP’s water-based ink technology enables prints to move directly into the next production stage immediately after printing, while delivering natural and consistent colours.

After initially using the HP Latex 570, Hug Sticker Custom upgraded to the HP Latex 800 W and later to the HP Latex 830 W to support higher production volumes, increase application flexibility, and minimise the risk of production downtime — ensuring long-term scalability.

In addition, the white ink capability of the HP Latex 830 W plays an important role in expanding design possibilities. It enables Hug Sticker Custom to confidently produce graphics on speciality materials, transparent films, and dark-coloured substrates while maintaining sharp detail, opacity, and consistent quality across all applications. This provides a significant advantage for premium and export markets.

International Standards for Global Growth

For expansion into developed markets, production reliability and trusted technology standards are essential. The HP Latex 830 W not only enhances print quality, but also strengthens the image of Hug Sticker Custom as a manufacturer ready to compete on the global stage.

Today, Hug Sticker Custom has expanded internationally. Its key products use 3M Metallic materials combined with HP Latex inks, a combination that has been durability-tested for more than seven years while continuing to maintain outstanding colour quality.

Hug Design aims to expand further into global markets within the next 3–5 years, focusing on countries with strong purchasing power and opportunities to create sustainable brand value.

For 2026, the company is targeting more than 100% growth compared to the previous year, supported by stronger production and marketing systems. Hug Design believes HP Latex will continue to be a core technology supporting its long-term growth journey.
