The flexibility of the HP Latex R1000 is also the basis for the development of proprietary products by APPLIPRINT. This includes the OrganicLine as well as Metallique, which consists of 80 percent recycled aluminium – and is itself recyclable. Metallique is particularly suitable for images and wall art for representative spaces such as law firms, conference rooms in companies, offices, or entrance areas. Currently, Metallique can only be printed using HP Latex models. The brushed aluminium impresses with the high quality typical of HP as well as brilliant colours, making the images a highlight for interiors.
The OrganicLine films, on the other hand, consist of 80 percent biological materials: the films are made from sugarcane. They are therefore free from PVC, plasticisers, halogens, or formaldehyde. Furthermore, they produce 80 percent less CO2 emissions than PVC films. The OrganicLine films can be printed or processed like conventional materials, allowing resources to be used more sustainably. Another advantage of OrganicLine in combination with HP Latex inks: the products can be recycled at the end of their lifecycle.
"We share a focus on sustainability with HP – just like HP, this topic is part of our corporate DNA. We are continuously developing new end products that can be recycled and also use recycled materials," says Benjamin Steinmaus, Managing Director, APPLIPRINT. "Metallique and OrganicLine are two of our highlights that can only be realised thanks to HP Latex printers. At the same time, the HP Latex R1000 also supports direct printing on cardboard, wood, or sustainable acrylic glass. With HP, we have found the right partner for our sustainable offerings."
The HP Latex R1000 impressed APPLIPRINT with its high performance of up to 56 m2 per hour as well as the excellent quality of the products – also thanks to the brilliant latex colours and the opaque white print. In addition, the tactile and visual properties of the print media (such as the brushed aluminium of Metallique) come into their own even after printing. Automatic maintenance and intelligent service tools, on the other hand, avoid downtime – print service providers are thus able to complete all orders on time even under high workload.
"No matter which substrate we print with HP Latex inks, we always achieve rich colour application and high quality," Steinmaus continues. "This enables us to offer our customers the highest possible flexibility for their orders – both in terms of materials and timing."
APPLIPRINT (formerly Steinmaus Druck) began in the 1970s as a regional offset printing company and has since continuously developed into a supra-regional specialist for digital printing, foiling, and spatial communication in the B2B segment. The family-run company combines premium quality and reliability with a focus on sustainability. When selecting and installing the HP Latex R1000, APPLIPRINT relied on Igepa Systems GmbH, a long-standing HP partner. After installing the printer, Igepa also trained APPLIPRINT machine operators regarding its use.
