For Singaporean photographer Melisa Teo, “Two Rivers” was created to celebrate the connections that bind us together. Through images of the Singapore and Seine Rivers, Melisa captured the idea of humanity flowing towards a common destination. The exhibition began at Anderson Bridge—chosen for its symbolism and the celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between France and Singapore—and continued to VivoCity, overlooking the sea. This journey mirrored the rivers’ flow towards a shared horizon, reinforcing the exhibition’s central theme of interconnectedness.

Technology that adapts to the artist’s vision
Large format printing was essential to creating an immersive experience with photographs. With HP Latex 3-layer printing technology, Melisa’s images transitioned seamlessly from day to night, retaining vibrancy in sunlight while revealing hidden depth under backlight.
“HP’s 3-layer printing was transformative. It ensured my photographs maintained their integrity across day and night, creating a seamless experience for visitors”
Collaboration that delivers results
The planning and production process with the HP and Fuji Signcraft teams was, in Melisa’s words, “Fruitful.” The teams combined technical expertise with a collaborative and creative approach, enabling innovative solutions to bring this ambitious outdoor exhibition to life. For Melisa, the project was as much about building meaningful connections as it was about achieving results.
“When I saw my work printed for the first time, it was deeply moving—a long-held dream realised. The quality exceeded my expectations.”

Impact that lasts
The exhibition drew strong responses from the public. Visitors praised the scale and clarity of the large-format prints, the seamless transition of images from day to night, and the richness of colour that revealed new details under backlighting. Even after 75 days outdoors in varying weather conditions, the prints maintained their quality—It’s a testament to the durability and reliability of HP Latex technology.

Setting the benchmark for the future
For Melisa, “Two Rivers” has set a new standard. HP Latex provided the quality, flexibility, and reliability needed to present her work exactly as envisioned—and opened new possibilities for what large format print can achieve.
