Leicestershire-based full-service print business Advance Print Solutions has invested in an HP Latex 830W Printer to support continued growth and expand its presence in the transport graphics market.

Located in the town of Lutterworth near Rugby, Advance Print Solutions specialises in both wide-format and small-format, as well as retail display, POS and vinyl graphics. Having already established a loyal and diverse customer base, the company had been seeking ways to broaden its offering and take on work in new markets and identified significant opportunities in the transport graphics sector – with the HP Latex 830W investment helping to strengthen its capabilities in this area.

Purchased from approved HP distribution partner Perfect Colours and installed at Advance Print Solutions’ facility in April, the HP Latex 830W empowers users to maximise productivity and deliver high-value jobs with consistent quality. With print speeds of up to 36sq m/hr in outdoor mode, the printer can handle a wide variety of media up to 1.63m wide and produce vibrant colour and white output across a broad range of applications.

As to why the company opted for this machine in particular, Sheron Cummins, Managing Director of Advance Print Solutions, said that after “significant research”, the printer stood out for its exceptional reviews and overall capabilities – including its flexibility and quality when used to produce vehicle graphics.

“It was the perfect fit for where we want to take the graphics department,” Sheron said. “We have already seen the benefits first-hand, with increased capacity supporting our continued growth, and it has opened up new opportunities.

“With strong connections in the transport and logistics industry, we are perfectly placed to support transport organisations with vehicle and company branding. This is an area where we are excited to grow as a business.”

The HP Latex 830W is Advance Print Solutions’ first investment from the HP Latex range, with the company now set to benefit from the machine’s wider capabilities, including its stand-out environmental credentials. As with all HP Latex printers, the HP Latex 830W runs water-based HP Latex Inks which have much lower volatile organic compound (VOC) content than solvent, eco-solvent and other inks.

Aside from vehicle graphics, the machine’s use of white ink will allow Advance Print Solutions to broaden the range of applications it can produce. This includes opening up additional opportunities across window graphics, signage and other specialist projects that require vibrant, high-impact output on coloured and transparent materials.

With the HP Latex 830W now in production, the additional capacity and versatility offered by the machine will support Advance Print Solutions as the company expands into new areas of work.
